Academic requirements
UK honours degree 2:2 (or equivalent) in international development, development studies, environmental sciences, climate change, social sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, geography, political sciences, sustainable development or economics.
English language requirements
IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no element below 5.5.

Other academic and vocational qualifications

As a student on the MSc Climate Justice, you will benefit from free IEMA membership while you study. Through your membership, you will have access to live webinars hosted by industry experts, online best-practice guidance documents, and our members-only magazine. These resources give you a great opportunity to explore new topics, learn about new ideas and stay up to date. With over 18,500 members, IEMA membership also gives you the opportunity to network with other students and professionals within the environment and sustainability space. You can do this through regional events, the IEMA Futures network (our network for students, graduates and early-career professionals), and IEMA’s annual members-only conference. You can find out more about their networks and upcoming events on the IEMA website. Lastly, IEMA provide you with career support and guidance. There are relevant webinar series out there for you to enjoy – for example, the Day in the Life series. They also have volunteering opportunities which allow members to develop new skills and broaden their experiences. This could involve helping to organise events & webinars for other members, and also things like speaking on webinars, and writing blogs for our website. IEMA also has a Jobs page where you can view opportunities.
When you complete your course, you will be eligible to move up to Graduate membership when you complete your course, giving you the professionally recognised GradIEMA suffix. This signifies that you are part of the next generation of sustainability leaders and enables you to fast track an application to practitioner once you have gained sufficient experience.
